7.Digital Security

Hazards of online activity:
Social bullying, the world is full of cruel people and there is always someone that can find something bad about you especially if you post everything online and cause lots of harm, bullying on social media is just as harmful if not more harmful than in person.
Parental negative content - porn, do not look at inappropriate content online, it is illegal and is very bad for you, can lead to sex addiction
Stalking - people who get too much information about you can track you down and even start following you in person
Illegal activity
Piracy

Guidelines for online safety:
Privacy settings - make sure your email and contact details and passwords are hidden. Never give out your bank details to anyone online.
Do not give out any personal information - on social media you can hide your profile so that only people that you accept as your friends can see your information.
Do not accept requests from people you do not know
Do not post any pictures of yourself that can be used against you - remember that what goes on the web will always stay on the web, this means when you go for a job interview at 25 they can track you online and see your drunk pictures from when you were 17.
Do not go onto sites you know are illegal or look sketchy - it is illegal to download movies and you can be tracked down if you do so.
